The Bar - Awards
Our awards continue to arrive!
We are delighted that we once again achieved
"GOLD BAR" status
in Whisky Magazine's 2012 edition of "Great Whisky Bars of the World" ~ one of only 51 in the WORLD, one of only 17 in the whole UNITED KINGDOM, and, again, the ONLY one in the SPEYSIDE region of Scotland!
As in the 2010 edition, the current edition honours the very best venues in the world with three levels of award, Gold ~ the highest accolade, Silver and Bronze.
There is then also a listing of other good whisky bars that didn't achieve the stringent award criteria for a medal, but are still worth as mention.

In the "Great Whisky Bars of the World" published by Whisky Magazine, we were acredited as a
~ one of only 66 in the WORLD, one of only 10 in the UNITED KINGDOM, and the ONLY one in Speyside!
July 2007 saw us going to the Scottish Licensed Trade Awards ceremony in Glasgow, having again been chosen as a finalist in the "Whisky Bar of the Year" category.
We were thrilled to have reached the final for two years running but held no great expectations of winning.
After all we were up against formidable competition again (John & Frances of the Drumchork Lodge and Alex & Cecilia of the Cluanie Inn, Cluanie's first time in the finals so special congratulations to them), and it is almost unique to win this top award in consecutive years.
Imagine our complete surprise and delight when the winner was announced as "The Highlander Inn, Craigellachie"!
In March 2007 we were recognised by Whisky Magazine as one of the top three Bars and restaurants in the Scottish whisky world, quite an achievement we think after having been here for only 18 months.

"Dewar's Whisky Bar of the Year"
In July 2006, we were overjoyed to win the at the Scottish Licensed Trade Awards held in Glasgow. This was awarded in recognition of our committment to whisky; our passion, knowledge and the innovative presentation of whisky flights for personal tasting.
What more can we say?
